They shouldn’t be allowed in schools because they make it extremely difficult for students to focus while working. Additionally, they allow students to engage in things that aren’t learning. These all interfere with class and make it difficult for the teacher to actively teach students topics with comprehension.

Well banning phones at class is really easy to manage. First if someone is on their phone, it's pretty blatant because they literally have it out. This phone ban is pretty bad because you can't use it at free periods. And let's say we have an emergency, a literal emergency, WE CAN'T COMUNICATE.

The ban doesn’t necessarily stop students from using their phone during free periods. It has been proven that excessive phone usage causes issues with mental health, sleep, physical strain, and cognitive issues. Them being used during class make it quite difficult to focus and resist the urge for someone to check their phone. A significant amount of schools have a class landline in the classroom, countering your emergency claim.
