Excuse me for my sloppy English but It my second language. I don't think voting should be mandatory. In my opinion it disturb human right to free choice. Everyone should decide about themselves then it don't hurt other people, we have free will aren't we?

I feel like forcing everyone to vote just brings in people who don't really care or pay attention. That could lead to a lot of random, uninformed choices that don't reflect what people actually want. It seems better to let those who genuinely want a say make the effort.

I absolutely agree. Futhermore in situation where we have voting mandatory how they would force or check it? And if they can how much money, people, time and infrastructure it will cost?

You make a fair point about civic duty, but I still think forcing everyone to vote just drags in a lot of uninformed people who don't really care. That could mess up the results. I'm honestly not sure how to argue back, it's just a gut feeling.

Additionaly what with people which live abroad? What if someone can't vote because of health problem? A lot of new laws have to be made if we even think about this

Even if mandatory voting were cheap and easy to enforce, it still feels wrong to drag in people who simply don't care. Forcing them to pick candidates could just add noise to the results. I can't really argue it better, but that's my honest worry.
