The real question isn't whether AI can make a pleasant sound. It's what a streaming catalog is for. Think of it as a concert hall, not a warehouse. A hall is curated for performers; a warehouse just holds volume. The other side keeps praising variety, but infinite uploads aren't variety, they're just decibels.
And their strongest point, that music is subjective, quietly capsizes their own case. Taste is subjective; royalties aren't. Streaming splits a finite pool by plays, so a hundred thousand anonymous tracks still pull real money away from human acts. Subjectivity doesn't protect anyone's income.
Their third point, that this tests AI across fields, is a reason to study it, not to monetize it in the main catalog.
So I'll hold my line: label it, wall it off, or leave it out. A platform should amplify voices, not manufacture them.
