I'd argue the line should be this: the person carrying the pregnancy is the one who lives with the consequences, so she should be the one to decide. Bodily autonomy isn't a fringe idea. We don't force people to donate organs or blood to save strangers, even when those strangers will die without them. A fetus has potential, sure. But potential doesn't grant it the right to use someone's body against their will.
This debate isn't really about whether life is sacred. It's about who gets to make the most intimate decision a person can make. I think that answer is the woman herself.
