Terraform means to alter the environment of a planet, moon, or other celestial body so it resembles Earth and can support human life. Mars is the fourth planet from Sun. With that in mind, I claim that we should not terraform Mars. Historically, people from foreign countries travels overseas to colonize and transform the place to their likings, which ultimately erases the originality of the place. A great example would be Australia. The European settles came and colonized Australia, which they then transformed into the place we see now. The reason they colonized Australia is because of the selfish nature of humans. Yes it is provides more opportunities for people in Australia, but the traditions and culture is lost for ever and people regret it every day. So by thinking beyond ourselves, we should keep Mars as it has always been.
