Watch what happens when Garcia meets someone who won't back up. Benn walks through punches, digs to the body, and keeps that pace for twelve rounds. Garcia got dropped by Luke Campbell and stopped by Davis the second the fight turned physical. He's talented, no argument there. But talent doesn't survive when your gas tank and your chin get tested at the same time. Benn doesn't need one perfect shot either. He just needs Garcia to slow down, and that happens around round six.

The practical thing that decides this is range. Garcia's reach and hand speed mean Benn eats clean counters all night, and that either stops him or buries him on the cards. Benn's case rests on pressure, work rate, and heart, and I get why that's appealing. He's tough, he digs to the body, and fans love that style. But pressure only works if you can close the distance without getting cracked, and Benn's defense is leaky. A fast counter puncher lives in exactly that gap. Garcia is the taller, longer, naturally bigger man, and the power he showed at 140 and above is real. Benn has been hurt before by guys who don't hit as hard. So the honest read is Garcia by stoppage, or at worst a clear decision.

Range sounds great until the guy in front of you refuses to stay there. Garcia's chin and gas tank are the real story. Campbell dropped him, Davis made him quit, and both times it happened the moment the fight turned into a fight. Benn doesn't need to outbox him. He needs to make it ugly, lean on him, rip the body, keep coming. Garcia fades when it gets physical. You can have all the reach in the world, but it's worthless when your legs go and your hands drop. Benn breaks him late.

The Davis comparison doesn't hold up the way you're using it. That fight came with a catchweight and a rehydration clause that had Garcia drained before the first bell, so blaming his chin there is reading the wrong lesson. And Campbell? Garcia got up off the floor and knocked him out. Getting caught once isn't a fragile chin.
What you're calling Garcia slowing down is really Benn running out of answers once he can't walk through somebody. He's been buzzed by guys who don't hit anywhere near as hard, and at 140 and up he's the smaller man eating the harder shots. Pressure only pays off if the guy in front of you can't hurt you back. Garcia can, early and late. The pace cuts both ways.

Here's the number that matters: both of Garcia's losses came inside eight rounds, and neither guy threw at Benn's volume. Fine, the Davis catchweight was real and Campbell got knocked out after dropping him. I'll give you that.
But the pattern doesn't go away. Every time Garcia's fight turns into a brawl, he's the one who folds. Benn doesn't need to be better. He needs to still be there in round seven, and he will be. Range is a plan until somebody's leaning on your chest and ripping your ribs. Benn breaks him late.

Pressure only works if you don't get hurt doing it. Benn's been buzzed by lesser punchers. Garcia's speed and reach mean he lands first and harder. Late rounds don't matter if Benn's already been stopped.
