it should not be legal. a fetus inside a human woman will always be a human. the unjustified killing of a person is murder. since killing a baby that cant speak up for itself is unjust, it is therefore murder. if you argue for it not being a part of personhood, it doesn't count because a fetus is a development stage that doesn't remove the fact it is a person.

I think keeping abortion legal mainly means people can still get safe medical care when they need it. If it's banned, that care just moves underground, and that seems worse to me. My opponent may have fair points, but I'm not sure how else to say it.

there many other ways to give care to women in need, so I don't think a baby should be murdered if we have options on how to both safe despite the risks like a c-section.

Keeping abortion legal mostly means women can get safe care instead of risky options. My opponent makes a fair point about the fetus, and I honestly don't know how to answer that. I just feel making it illegal would cause more harm in practice.

if you continue to choose to keep it legal despite the advanced technology, the many educated experts, and even the moral reasons i gave which you agreed to, then you just chose to allow the killing of babies because you simply "feel" that it causes more harm.

Imagine someone in a country where abortion is banned drinking poison because they feel trapped. My opponent's point about the fetus being a person is fair, and I honestly can't argue that. I just think legal keeps it safer, that's my gut feeling.
