I just think forcing people to vote doesn't really fix anything. If someone doesn't care enough to learn about the issues, their random pick might cancel out someone who actually paid attention. I'd rather have fewer voters who genuinely mean it.

I'm not sure what communism has to do with voting, but here's a fact: in Australia, where voting is compulsory, about one in twenty ballots are blank or informal. That shows forcing people to vote just makes them scribble something, not genuinely decide. I'd rather have fewer people who actually care.
