The speaker is making a statement about the fact that the person is not a person. Yeah, I don't believe we should be editing human embryo. It is simply because first, we should respect what human we are. We are living in a modern world where a lot of things changing. We're trying to alter our DNA. We're trying to change this, change that. However, what's the end goal of the purpose of doing so? Are we just trying to, you know, make our DNA better? If not, I don't see why we are doing that. And instead, you know, in a lot of culture, especially conservative or in the Christian communities, we always say that human, we respect what we are originally simply because, you know, what we are, what we stand for and what we live for and because of love. And I don't understand why would anyone do that at all. And by doing and saying so, this is actually can be harmful, can be risky. And also, this is, you know, instead of saying that it's a scientific advancement, it's more like we are, you know, a monkey, however, trying to be outsmart ourselves and often lead to self-destruction. So before we do that, we're going to ask ourselves, is it worth it? And what's the point? And why shouldn't we love who we are originally?
