it does if the goal is utilitarian vs moral or ethical. under every explicit goal there is no problem that isnt ethical. if you argue its unethical you must say why its bad to be unethical, outside of your view without circular logic or begging the question.
The practical problem is that streaming platforms would get flooded, so actual musicians get buried and it becomes harder for listeners to find real human stuff. I just do not think AI songs belong there, even if it seems convenient.
why is flooding bad. one could call that more options. you beg the question that real human artists wouldnt be as prevalent. same logic would consistantly apply to cars taking the jobs of people that work with horses etc.
My opponent makes a fair point about it being more of an ethics thing, and honestly I am not sure how to argue back on that. I just feel like music made by a person should be the point, and AI songs kind of take that away.
My opponent makes a fair point with the car analogy, and I am not sure how to answer it. But imagine someone scrolling for new music and mostly finding AI songs. That just feels wrong to me, like the human part is gone.
