I think the other side is wrong to lump every true crime show together as exploitation. Some can tell a real story carefully and still be entertaining. I am not sure how to argue it beyond that, but calling all of it unethical just feels too harsh.

My opponent makes a fair point that victims and families have no say, and I am not sure how to argue with that. Still, I think the issue is really about how a story is told, not whether it is told at all. Some portrayals can be respectful and informative.
