We've already seen AI-powered educational tools such as Khan Academy's AI tutor demonstrate many of the aforementioned capabilities in practice. Such systems can personalize lessons, identify individual learning gaps, provide immediate feedback, and adapt instruction to each student's pace. This ensures that students reciece that consistent, evidence-based teaching rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. Research has LONG shown the value of personalized tutoring: education psycologist Benjamin Bloom found that students recieving one-on-one tutoring performed about two standard deviations better than those in tradition classrooms--a phenomenon known as the "2 sigma problem" While AI has not, nor cannot, fully matched human tutors, studies of intelligent tutoring systems have found significant improvements in student achievement, particularly in mathematics and science, often producing learning gains comparable to several months of additional instruction. Because these AI are available 24/7, never tire, and can continuously analyze student performance, it has the potential to provide every student with a level of individualized instruction that would be impractical for a single teacher managing an entire classroom of students.
