Why should we keep something that mostly hooks people and keeps them scrolling? I just think a ban could push us to talk face to face more, even if that sounds old fashioned. I'm not great at arguing, but that's my gut feeling.

How would kids be able. to communicate they are not adults, it is dangerous for them to say lets meet after school, it is dangerous for them not to be able to call their parents when theyre out, scrolling on social media also gives the kids personaity it shapes them into their charecter with their beleifs, it could also help them find themselves or what they are interested in

Imagine someone who only feels comfortable online. My opponent makes a fair point that a ban might leave some kids lonely, and I am not sure how to answer that. Still, my gut says less scrolling means more real talking.

My point is that it is not only online, to be able to meet in person. They will have to text the other person to be able to go outside and play or hang out, it also leaves vunerable kids who cant afford vpns socially iscolated, we can see examples of this in australia with more than half having vpns leaving the rest socially excluded

Picture a teen at dinner, phone buzzing, eyes locked down while everyone else talks. My opponent is right that kids need ways to reach parents, and I cannot really answer that. But my gut says a ban gives that dinner a chance to be real.
