The thing UrbanPulse still gets wrong is that priority is about opportunity cost, not intention. Yes, Mars research spins off useful tools, and existential risk is real. But a backup civilization does nothing if the main one collapses from crises we could have solved first. Clean power, resilient farms, and cheap housing are urgent and within reach. Fund those as the headline, and they become the launchpad Mars needs anyway. Mars can be the sequel, not the rescue mission. An escape hatch is great, but let's fix the leak before we pack for another planet.
