Of course, I understand your view on music as a cultural landscape for self-expression, but I believe you are not accurately seeing AI as identifiable as it is. On most platforms, artists must disclose whether or not they use AI, in which viewers and listeners can choose to or not to indulge in the music. But saying that humans cannot tell seems like an overstatement. Furthermore, noone has ever truly regulated the kinds of music that is displayed on 'the market'. Whether it be country, rock, jpop, AI... as you said, music is meant to be a form of self-expression, so why shouldn't someone use AI as that self expression when they have that right?? Of course, it does make things harder for musicians, but through proper branding and advertisement, that too can be overcome. AI music in itself is it's own category of music and should not be discriminated upon.
