Yes Collage is worth the cost. Workers with a bachelor’s degree face an unemployment rate roughly 40.5% lower than those with only a high school diploma. Earnings: Men with a bachelor's degree earn a median of $86,320 compared to $50,780 for high school graduates. Over a lifetime, a bachelor's degree adds hundreds of thousands of dollars in median earnings compared to a high school diploma alone.

Many Degree's do however make up for the cost. Many Jobs require degree's and those would be inaccessible to people who do not have one. While many skills can be learned without collage, many high paying fields require it. People who major in Engineering and computer science, which are considered high paying majors, Make substantially more then the average person who did not go to collage. If this debate was "is collage ever a scam" you would have a point. but the problem is most of the time if you know what you are doing and chose a degree that is useful it is not.

To address this repeated argument, yes the costs have increased. But so has payment for jobs that require degree's. Along with the fact that, just because cost's increase does not make collage a scam. you have the burden to show how that correlates to it being a scam. which you have not provided.
