Honestly, being in the same room just gets things done faster.

Yes that might be true, but think about the families of most of the workers, they see work more than their family and because of that absence they become more and more distant

Sure, nobody loves a long drive, but imagine starting a new job and never hearing the casual conversations that teach you how things really work. In an office you pick up so much just by being around people. Remote work makes you feel cut off, and that kills the teamwork and energy a good office has.

There has to be a balance between the two, the best solution would be that workers should spend halft their work remote and the other half in person

Nikita, I think the family argument misses something. When your office is your living room, work follows you everywhere. You might be home more, but you're never really present, always checking messages or thinking about deadlines. That can make you more distant from your family, not less. An office at least gives you a clear boundary.
