If a real God were revealing himself, you'd expect the evidence to converge, not split along cultural lines. The other side can point to awe and fine tuning, and those are fair to wonder about. But wonder isn't proof. Sincere belief across contradictory faiths looks much more like a human hunger for meaning than a single divine reality. So I'm not convinced.

If a gap in evolution were proof of God, wouldn't every solved gap shrink him a little? That's the trouble with arguing from what we don't know yet. Not knowing the first primate just means science has more work to do, not that a deity steps in. And here's the bigger thing: even if evolution were fully explained tomorrow, the other side's case wouldn't move at all, because the real question is why sincere believers land on contradictory gods. Here's the cleanest way to frame this: "God is real" is a positive claim, so the burden sits with whoever makes it, not with me. Nobody has to prove a negative. The other side asks why I think there's no god, and honestly the better question is what evidence would show one. Across cultures, sincere belief splits by where someone was raised, and that's the pattern that needs explaining. I'd love it if the case were strong, but wanting something to be true isn't a reason. Show me evidence that doesn't just track culture.
