There is no point later in pregnancy where a non-human suddenly becomes human. While about 93% of reported U.S. abortions at or before 13 weeks, and fewer than 1% occur at or after 21 weeks, the timing of an abortion does not change the underlying biological identity of the unborn child. If all human beings possess equal inherent dignity simply because they are human, that principle, therefore, should consistently extend to human beings before birth as well.
