Isn't a full scholarship and all that exposure already a pretty big cut? I get why people say billions are flowing, but I just feel like athletes get plenty out of it already. I don't really know how to argue it better than that, honestly.

Yes it is but some athletes are pretty good and dont have the funding to reach higher so whether rich or not a scholarship will help cause it makes the athelete know how hard the worked to earn it rather than just getting it with putting in hardwork

I get the fair point that athletes bring in tons of money. But that money isn't just sitting there for them, it keeps whole athletic departments and smaller sports going. So maybe the cut is bigger than just a check.

Imagine a star quarterback gets a paycheck while the school drops swimming and wrestling to cover it. I get that players bring in money, but that cash seems to hold up everything else. I don't know, paying some just feels like it breaks the whole thing.
