Labeling every celebrity memoir a cash grab misses why they matter. A memoir is a media platform, and platforms move people. When a well-known figure writes about, say, reef collapse or wildfire displacement, that reaches readers who'd never pick up a climate report. Yes, publishing has a footprint, roughly a few kilograms CO2 per book. But if even a fraction of a million readers change one habit or vote, the impact dwarfs it. My opponent's cynicism ignores that influence isn't automatically exploitation.
