So when people scream "pay the athletes," I've got one question—with what cash? The scholarship already covers tuition, room, board, and books, which is more than most students get. And the fantasy that college sports leads to riches? Only about two percent of NCAA athletes ever turn pro. Everyone else is getting a degree they're already receiving for free. That's the deal. It's already a good one.
