Can a manipulated district line really outweigh a system where millions accept false claims and refuse to accept any result? My opponent will likely point to skewed maps, and they do damage. But gerrymandering is visible, contestable in court, and fixable by independent commissions. A democracy can survive bad maps. It struggles to survive when voters stop trusting elections, when misinformation floods the public square, or when officials overturn results. Those threats cut deeper because they justify ignoring any map at all. So gerrymandering is serious, but not the biggest.
