Human actors have personalities and life experiences that help make their performances special. Many fans also love their favorite actors as real people, not just the characters they play. AI can be a useful tool in filmmaking but it cannot fully replace the human connection that makes acting meaningful

Look at those de-aged scenes in recent blockbusters; the fake faces already fool a lot of viewers. My opponent makes a fair point about human connection, and I am not sure how to argue back. Still, my gut says studios will pick cheap synthetic leads within 20 years.

Cheaper does not mean better. Even if AI actors look realistic people value the real emotions and unique personalities of human stars. Audiences build connections with actors because of their lives and experiences. AI may become a useful tool in filmmaking but replacing human stars completely could make movies feel less authentic. Technology can copy an appearance but that does not mean it can replace the human connection behind a performance.

The practical thing is that studios save huge money not paying a star, so they'll push synthetic leads anyway. My opponent's point about real emotion is fair and I can't really argue it. I just think money wins.

Even if AI actors become cheaper and more realistic that does not mean audiences will accept them as replacements for human stars. De-aging technology is different from creating an entirely artificial actor. Studios also depend on the trust and popularity that real actors build with their fans. AI may become common in movies but that is not proof that human stars will disappear. Saving money is important but so is creating performances that audiences genuinely care about.
