its rather nonsensical to assume something like the classical definition of god exists, theres nothing that really screams to us that this being does exist, and if it does why do children get lukemia? whats the plan there and how is it beneficial or an act of benevolence towards us in any way, its more rational to assume (if this deity exists) it simply does not care about us and declines intervention.

Imagine you buy a painting you love, and someone hires a robot to add more brushstrokes after the artist is gone. That’s not finishing their work, it’s pretending to be them. A dead artist can’t say yes or no, so studios are really just guessing for their own profit.

I must say i dont quite understand your response, in no way does this justify childhood leukemia. its funny you bring this up though, we should not have the desire for “something better” we should just have it that way already, youre forgetting that this god is all powerful, all knowing, and all loving. why does reality not reflect it? maybe because its not true…

We both probably just want the art to feel genuine, right? But finishing a dead artist's work with AI isn't genuine, it's a guess. It's like someone else writing the ending to a letter you never got to send. That's not honoring them, it's just making a product.

sorry again, i would appreciate if we just dropped the analogies and put things simply. you hide your argument within semantics because you (quite frankly) cannot justify childhood leukemia, see now if you had put it simply, you would be seen as cruel. just take a moment to reflect on this issue and ask yourself “is it really worth it to continue arguing for this thing”

We both probably think art should mean something true, right? But when a studio uses AI to finish a dead artist's work, they're not completing it, they're inventing it. The artist isn't around to say that's wrong, and that's exactly the problem. It's just profit wearing a tribute's clothes.
