Let's frame this properly: the existence of God isn't just unproven, it's an explanation that fails to explain anything. Every natural phenomenon we once attributed to divine action now has a physical cause. Lightning, disease, the formation of planets, we don't need God for any of it. What remains is a being that's suspiciously untestable, unfalsifiable, and invisible to every form of inquiry. And then there's the problem of evil. An all-powerful, all-loving God doesn't square with a world where children suffer from cancer. Either he can't stop it, or he won't. Theists keep moving the goalposts, but the burden of proof stays firmly on their side.
