The vast majority of Republicans believe the U.S. constitution is important and fundamental to American liberty yet Trump defies at least 2 of the amendments in the constituion being the 1st and 22nd claiming anyone that talks negatively about him is "illegal" and "cheating." He also stated many times he wants to run for a third term as president which directly goes against the 22nd amendment. I just don't understand how the vast majority of Republicans say the constitution is fundemental yet support and vote for someone who defys it while in office.
Here's a surprising fact: Trump was the first president in decades whose term didn't include starting a new war. That alone makes me lean toward calling him a good president. I know the other side probably sees plenty of flaws, and honestly I can't argue all that well, but that's my gut feeling.

Trump actually said that he would "annihilate" Iran and "drive them to hell." That completely destroys your point and is also not answering my statement as it is a completely different topic. Are you avoiding my question?
The other side makes a fair point about the constitution, and honestly I'm not sure how to argue that. Where I think they go wrong is treating that as the whole job. My gut still says keeping us out of new wars matters a lot, and that's really all I've got.

I agree keeping us out of wars matters a lot and that is exactly why we shouldn't threaten them.
Imagine someone yelling threats across a fence but never actually swinging; that's kind of how I see the Iran talk, though the other side is right that it's ugly and I don't have a great answer on the constitution. My gut still says no new wars counts for something.
