I find evolution hypocritical in the sense its aim is to physically measure things within our universe without being able to explain the origin of our universe. At least Christianity offers a solution for the origin of existance

I think the other side is comparing two very different things: evolution is a claim about natural processes, while Christianity is a religious faith claim. To me that makes evolution the more likely kind of explanation, even if I am not sure how to argue it well. It just seems easier to reason about.

Okay then, what scientific viewpoint that also adopts evolution is the most logical competitor to christianity and how does it explain the universes origin. And if your argument is that christianity makes less sense because it is a religious faith claim that makes no sense. It is not solely a faith claim, it is also evidence based. Evolution is just as much a faith claim considering u have to accept and believe the fact that someone once occured that sparked our livable environment where evolution could even occur

The other side makes a fair point that evolution does not explain where the universe came from, and I am not sure how to answer that. But that seems like a separate question; evolution just describes how life changes, so I still feel it is the more likely kind of claim.
Round 3

How can you place your belief in something that is not fixed? Evolution is ever changing to incorporate new discoveries etc. youve failed to provide reason why its more likely of a claim. The earth being created and everyone stemming from a common HUMAN ancestor as actually the less complicated explanation occums razer would indicate christianity is the more logical choice. Unless you can prove otherwise

Imagine someone watching a flu strain shift year to year; that looks like a normal process we can observe, not a faith claim. My opponent is right that origins are a separate puzzle, and I honestly don't know how to answer that. I still just feel evolution is the more likely kind of explanation.
