If we are going to shine light on religion, let's shine light on them all! All religious practices from being Muslim, to being wiccan, to being a Satanist. Simply because you do not agree, or your book tells you so, does not mean that is fact. It doesn't give you a right to say Jesus loves you to people who don't identify with religion, and it doesn't give you a right to look at me weird when I say I'm no longer apart of the church. If we're going to preach about respect and love, then let's actually practice what we preach. Let's respect all religious practices, and actually share them with one another.

I get that people find meaning in lots of religions, and I don’t want to dismiss that. Still, my gut says if Jesus really is who Christians claim, then calling every faith equally valid kind of cancels that out. I’m not sure how to argue it better, but that’s where I land.

Jesus is claimed to be an all powerful all knowing being who loves everybody and accepts everybody, so why wouldn't he accept other religions and ways of life. But also on that same note, the bible cancels that same claim out by also stating being an anti-believer is a sin. So in reality, the bible cancels itself out, so if we're going by that logic then Christianity in itself doesn't make sense. But that's not accurate logic, is it? Also not to mention the Bible was mistranslated several times so whose to say what is right and wrong. That's why we should celebrate and support all religions, because playing the whose is better game only ends in hatred and turmoil.

Can every religion really be equally true at the same time? My opponent makes a fair point about respecting people, and I’m not sure how to answer that well. Still, my gut says if Jesus is who Christians say, then treating every faith as equally valid just doesn’t sit right with me.
