You say that ranch is not unhealthy on its own. That would be true, yes, but adding ranch to an already unhealthy factor is adding even more unhealthiness to it. Not only that, Ranch doesn't add anything your body can use: no fiber, no real nutrients. It just multiplies the three things pizza already maxes out. Calories, sodium, saturated fat. A light drizzle once in a while is nothing. The dose makes the poison, and ranch makes the dose bigger. Now you did mention that it depends on where you obtain the ranch from. But now let's be honest: the majority of people are going to get the ranch either from a retail store- that's Walmart, Target- and not from actual healthy stores because it's a lot more expensive. Most people don't make their own ranch, so most people who put ranch on pizza are opting for the least healthy option. So you're trying to use an isolated case or a small case or minority cases to be able to provide evidence for a bigger scale or bigger perspective or more broad perspective, I would say. Another thing I wanted to add: for example, a cheese sliced already 285 calories and 640 MG sodium, 10g fat. So basically, one slice plus a deep cup lands around 565 calories and 900 mg of sodium. Another thing I wanted to add: two slices with ranch equals about 850 plus calories and about 1800 mg of sodium. That's nearly half a day's calories, and most of the 2300 mg daily sodium limit in one sitting. Mostly saturated fat and refined carbs. Near zero fiber or micronutrients.
