Think about a phone company: it has to connect everyone and can't just kick you off. Social media feels more like a bunch of private hangout spots. I get why my opponent wants utility rules, but that seems like a huge overreach for something people can just leave.

통신 회사도 이윤을 추구하는 민간 사기업이기 때문에 정부의 규제를 받아. 그래서 통신회사 예시가 적절하지 않고, 소셜 미디어는 단순 사적 모임이 아니거든. 식당이든, 클럽이든 사적 공간이지만 위생법, 소방법 등등 정부의 규제를 받지. 그래서 네가 말한 사적 공간이라서 규제를 안 받아도 된다는 말은 충분히 반박가능해

A newspaper can publish awful stuff and still isn't a public utility. My opponent makes a fair point about harm, and I'm not sure how to answer that. Still, treating social media like water or power feels wrong because people can log off.

신문도 표현의 자유가 있지만 중재범, 명예훼손죄 등 강력한 규제를 받고 있는데 왜 신문 예시를 드는지 모르겠어. 신문보다 거대한 sns역시 공공적 규제를 받을 필요가 있으니까 네가 앞뒤가 다른 주장을 하고 있어. 싫으면 로그아웃 하면 된다는 주장은 마약문제를 다루고 있는데 " 싫으면 안하면 된다" 같은 1차원적인 사고방식아닐까

My opponent's right that restaurants and clubs still get regulated, I don't really have a comeback for that. I just think there's a difference between safety rules and treating something like water or power. Logging off is still an option, so utility rules feel too heavy.
