Yes, college athletes should be paid on a consistent basis because of a variety of reasons. It helps them support themselves during the stress of colleges. Nowadays inflation is at an all time I increasing tuition fees, which is why they need a method to support themselves which can be done through sports and moreover, it can also help them learn how to handle money at a young age and make them more responsible in the future

The current scholarship model isn't perfect, but it spreads the chance to play much wider.

It gets distributed across conferences and schools, and a lot of it funds championships for sports that never turn a profit, like wrestling and softball. Pay the basketball stars market rates and that money gets redirected to a handful of them. So the revenue argument actually cuts against Zyphor: the same dollars keep hundreds of other athletes competing. I'd rather spread the opportunity than concentrate it on a few future pros.
