But if a woman were to run for president, then she would have to make more rights for women than men. Um, and I know you're saying that women cook clean, they do this, all of the work, but men also come back from work. Men provide for the family including dads. Dads provide for the family. Dads actually provide for the family so that the mothers could go shopping and get the food for the kids that what they want. The dad pays taxes. Or sometimes the dad pays, the dad gives the mom money to go spend it on whatever she wants. The daughter, the son, grandmother.

If we decide women do less work, then caregiving gets no credit, parental leave looks like a favor, and wages for the jobs women dominate stay low. Men aren't lazy in that picture, and I never said they were. But calling one measure the whole song means the unpaid shift stays invisible, and that's the real consequence. The question is who does less work overall, and combat roles are a small slice of the labor pie. Meanwhile the unpaid shift runs every single day, no pay, often on top of a paid job.
