**Honourable chairperson, respected judges, and my worthy opponents,**
I strongly believe that AI-generated songs **do belong on streaming platforms**.
First, streaming platforms are designed to give listeners **access to music**, not to decide who is allowed to create it. If a song is legally made and clearly labelled as AI-generated, listeners should have the freedom to choose whether they want to listen to it.
Second, AI is simply **another creative tool**. Musicians already use computers, autotune, synthesizers, and digital effects to create music. AI takes this technology further. A person can use AI to experiment with melodies, harmonies, or lyrics and turn an idea into a finished song—even if they cannot play an instrument.
Finally, banning AI-generated music from streaming platforms would limit **innovation and creativity**. Instead of removing AI music, platforms should introduce clear rules: AI-generated songs should be labelled, copyrighted material should not be copied without permission, and artists should not have their voices or identities imitated without consent.
So the real question is not, **“Should AI music exist on streaming platforms?”** It is **“How can we make AI music fair and transparent?”**
AI is changing music, and streaming platforms should adapt to that change—not simply reject it.
**Thank you.**
