AI-generated songs should not be allowed on streaming platforms. This is because it's a very low-effort thing, and it will undermine all the good human-generated music. I'm not against the use of it. One can have AI-generated music, but it needs to be labeled so the audience knows if a particular thing was created from that. And we also need to think about music from the perspective of creators. There is a lot of creative art and effort that goes into the creation of good music, and with AI, the entry barrier is too low. Now, for these two things to be on the same-level field, they need to play in the specific category.

But think from the perspective of the listener: they are only for the music. They do not care about who has created it. I want good music which makes me feel good, helps me feel the emotion, and connects with some experience. That's all. It doesn't matter if it's created by AI or by somebody else. I do agree there needs to be a specific category, but at the same time, it doesn't make sense for AI-generated music to be banned from these streaming platforms.

We need to be open-minded and adapt with time. Back in the day, calculations used to be done mentally, but nowadays we are using calculators and supercomputers. With these, we are able to predict weather patterns, natural disasters, and many other things. Similarly, AI is the future, and it is going to stay, so artists need to use that to be able to produce high-quality songs that helps the listeners feel that emotion. If they are able to use the tools and do it faster, then that's even better. I would also argue that an artist who used to sing only classical music can now try something like hip-hop or can create a fusion of these two. It's only possible because AI is helping them break that big entry barrier.
