My honour, The australian education is not getting the results we want, yes the other side may state that this year and last year there were lots of students with exceeding ATAR and VCE scores, but this statement overlooks the fact that they took extensive learning avalibilites with tuiton centres, rather than Schools actually taking the bigger part and helping them, To add on research from teh University of Woololong in sydney has stated that In major competitive pockets like Sydney, the rate spikes significantly, with 25% to 59% of students attending outside-of-school tutoring centres to target selective school entry and senior exams. Why should our poor parents pay excessive amounts of money on tutions fees and school fees ?, when there school is supposed to be the main powerhouse for their learning. So is it not crystal clear that Australia should also equally priotorise education funding for our young students

Yes I understand, we have to train staff among this " new curriclum ", but I'm not asking for more challenge I'm asking for more quality. Don't you think students learning basic multiplication and very simply multi step worded problems at Year 6 is being simply behind. There is a reason why we call Asian countries educationally disciplined , as their structure and curriclum from Prep are learning great life changing benefits, like cleaning afterthemselves, learning through teamwork honesty and kindess at such a young age. Whereas Australia has many drawbacks such as Slower pace in formal math and content acquisition compared to East Asian peers, leading to lower average scores in international math and science benchmarks by middle/high school age. Finally Your honor the oppsotion statted that More challenge isn't automatically better: unmanged change is a risk, well why not manage and train the staff, if Japan or China can foster that, then why can't we, were not a third world country, we are well equipped one of the most advanced and succesful countries, so if we achieved so much, then how can we not priotise in strengthening our staff and students in these key subjects and improve our education systems

My honour, my oppostion stated that under resourced schools are where it fails, Now let me ask you a question to the oppositon, why are their under resourced schools ?, well there shouldn't be, every school should be equipped with the right resources. On top of that 90 % of schools are slower paced in math acquisiton and basic literature, How can students be struggling to write and identify parts of their own languages words, this just exposes of what our teachers are really educating to our students, Yes I understand that maybe students might have a varied thinking capaiblity, this is where only a few handpicked students with troubled sympotns and learning observations may suffer but Half of the whole entire australian school enrollements, is not a good sign. Now my honour the opposition stated that we should fix teacher gaps, they stated we should do it, but have we ? , no we haven't infact further research Eduresarch.com has stated that No, the major teacher shortage and structural workforce gaps in Australia have not been completely fixed. So is it not clear that its not our funding and financial gaps we have rather Australia has not taken action
