The practical consequence of crowning Philadelphia is that you grade this division on last January instead of this fall. Yes, that NFC Championship run was real and impressive, and I won't pretend otherwise. But "right now" means who's winning the division this season, and a ring doesn't hand you tiebreakers or December road wins. If the Eagles drop a couple of division games and someone else controls the race, that crown looks silly. The other side is treating a résumé like a current scoreboard. Until one team actually separates, nobody rules the NFC East.
