Among the probability space prior to evaluating the data, a tri-omni mind encompasses less than its negation. Unless those commitments provide explanatory advantages that outweigh their complexity, we have reason to assign the hypothesis a relatively low prior. So, I evaluate its explanatory advantages and disadvantages.
What would we expect to be brought about by a tri-omni mind? It's unclear why we would expect this hypothesis to bring about the specific data rather than the countless different possible variables that seemingly fall within the range of a tri-omni mind's desires. The specific formation of our biologies and the universe could seemingly be different, non-existent, or better in many ways. For example, the placement of stars, black holes, irrational tendencies of brains, blind spots in eyes, etc. If the possible predictions are vauge or unexpected, absent additional assumptions, a hypothesis is less favorable.
The all-powerful proposed nature of this mind further hurts the predictive power of the hypothesis. For example, even granting a desire for intelligent or conscious life, it does not require our specific physical constants. This is seen in "Electrons in Love."
Another prime example of where additional ad hoc assumptions are needed for the hypothesis to accommodate the data is the problem of evil. This is seen with the various theodicies. Furthermore, if this mind's desires are "written on our hearts," then it's even more unexpected that the data goes against our moral intuitions. Predation in nature is an effective example of nature's immorality both intuitively and rationally. Further things I find unexpected: the vast, hostile emptiness in spacetime, the dinosaurs, various flaws in how we're made, and divine hiddenness. When a hypothesis requires sub-hypotheses to accommodate the data, it lowers our credence in it.
In summary, the hypothesis of a tri-omni mind creating the universe is less favorable since it has:
• Lower initial probability than its negation.
• A wide range of possible predictions.
• Unexpected data that would require additional posits.
