If a woman has awful living conditions, a mental illness, physical illness that could kill her during child birth or got pregnant due to non consensual methods she should be allowed to have an abortion due to the better of herself and so that the child doesn't grow up in a bad enviroment.

I get that nobody takes abortion lightly, and I respect that it's a hard choice. But I just feel like a life is a life from the very start, and that makes me uneasy about legalizing it. I can't really explain it better than that.

So the only argument there is for anti abortion is that a life is a life from the very start, yet the fetus actually develops a heartbeat around 6 to 7 weeks into the pregnancy, therefore doing an abortion before 6 weeks is not destroying any life.

You make a fair point about women in really hard spots, and I can't argue with that. But practically, if abortion is legal everywhere, it becomes the easy way out for any tough pregnancy. That just feels off to me, like we're giving up on life too quickly. I still believe life starts at conception.

"it becomes the easy way out for any touch pregnancy", if a woman is having a tough pregnancy she shouldn't have to deal with the hard way, abortion should be a way to relieve her of pain, trauma and possible insanity. To reply to your "i believe life starts at conception" do you believe that even if someone's heart isnt beating that they are living?

A lot of people say a heartbeat is when life begins, and maybe that’s true. But even before that, it’s still a potential person growing. I just can’t shake the feeling that ending it is giving up on someone, no matter the timing.

If your heart stops you are officially dead though, whether ur eventually revived or not you are dead. The "feeling" of that the person isn't alive and that doing an abortion before the heartbeat starts is killing a living being isn't something you can use to ban abortion, after all it's just a feeling.

I see what you mean about the heartbeat, and maybe that changes things. But even before that, it's still a potential person, and I just feel like ending it is saying that life doesn't matter yet. I can't really back that up, it's just how I feel.

You're right that a feeling isn't a solid argument, and I can't prove when life starts. But my gut tells me that once we start deciding some lives are okay to end, it gets risky. That just feels wrong to me, even if I can't explain it.
