Plants provide Oxygen in exchange for Carbon Dioxide. By removing the excess CO2 there is less of a chance for us to get lung damage and less of a chance for the animals to die. This is not only beneficial to our health but to all living, multicellular, breathing organisms. We eat plants in order to remain healthy and to gain energy. They also act as a form of building material for our use. In conclusion plants have many uses both to us and our fellow animals.
In your argument you state that humans are the main cause for the environmental decline, to which I say is true however, plants make their own food by using CO2 gas, water and sunlight. The very thing that helps plants survive is their ability to make oxygen (using CO2 + H20 + Sunlight). Another fact that you stated was that the environment would thrive after the decline of the human civilization, this is true. On the other hand, should humans focus soley on the benefit of plants the same effect would come into play. To end off my statement I say that plants give food (nutrients), oxygen and a form of housing. My question to you now is how can any of these points to which I have listed, be negative?
You have not yet argued against my statement. You have just been repeating the same point, that humans are the reason why the environment is slowly degrading, again true. But if we as a society come together and actually work towards the betterment of the plant life around us we could improve our situation and the animals who live on this Earth also. Yet again I ask you, how can my points of food , respiration and being a form of housing be so terrible?
