Okay... The concept that people should all get certain EQUAL amount of money without work for all people in the country is diabolical... It is actually communism but dressed up in the modern clothes... Why, first of all... Money doesn't fall from sky, we produce it and WORK stands behind it and we as a society decide to give certain amount to everyone including not just those that are truly not able to work but also those WHO REFUSE! Someone is producing the money and not everyone agrees on Universal Basic Income and in a "democratic" society where let's say more than a half or 2/3 of people think we shall give certain amount of OUR money to everyone... We do it? The money that certain group of people who DOES NOT WANT IT WORKED FOR AS WELL?! There is no argument. That is straight up democratic dictature that is unlawful not just under basic laws and constitutions, no, because we can argue those too... UNLAWFUL UNDER BASICS OF MORALITY AND VALUE OF A HUMAN BEING AND SOMEONE WHO WORKS

Look, I get the appeal of UBI. The idea that everyone gets a check just for existing? Sounds clean and simple. But that's exactly the problem — it's too simple for a complex world.
Here's the thing: money doesn't exist in a vacuum. If you give everyone a thousand bucks a month, landlords will raise rents. Grocery stores will hike prices. We've seen this with stimulus checks. The real issue isn't lack of cash — it's lack of affordable housing, decent healthcare, and good jobs. UBI just paper over those cracks.
And honestly, work gives people dignity. I'm not saying everyone loves their job, but there's something valuable about contributing. UBI risks creating a society where people just... exist. That's not freedom, that's emptiness.
We should fix our broken safety net instead. Target help to people who really need it. That's more humane and more sustainable.
