Hello i am ce ss my pronouns are she and her and i believe that college athletes should be paid because as an athlete myself i can say that we spent tons of money on the sports alone not including how consistent we play the healthcare and other necessities that we may also need as an athlete so by receiving these incentives and subsidies that we get from college we are able to get respect from our universities as well as support to keep going and to keep striving as an athlete and it means a lot to us especially since we are technically representing the school and i'm sure it means a lot to the school too especially if we are ranked high therefore i believe that college athletes should be paid thank you

This exactly states my point you say that college sports are supposed to be about school and team pride yes that is true but how are we supposed to support our teammates our schoolmates if we don't pay them if you don't give them subsidies if we don't support them into joining these tournaments and games it's not like athletes are getting paid it's like athletes or getting supported by the their universities and i think that it's only fair for athletes to receive this because we shouldn't think of this mode of payment as a form of actually paying we should think of this as a way of supporting these athletes because representing the school does not only mean giving yourself it's spending extra money on trainings extra money on gears and tools and extra money spent on healthcare other than that it also takes up a students time and as both an athlete and a student i can say that just this hint the spec of respect of support it means a lot

And this is why if your college sports program don't even make money then why have a college sports program at all if you cannot afford to give the bare minimum to your athletes if you cannot afford to maintain and to consistently give athletes to support that they need then why do we still have college sports programs?
