One can very easily argue that Jude Bellingham for 88 was not a good transfer. At the moment and about 2 years after his implementation, he seems to have gone AWOL and is extremely injury prone, playing barely a game and being terrible in the games that he has played. Haaland was one of the only transfers that seems to have gone right for club, and it was at a low value of 60 million for a proven player, who we knew would bang goals and strike fear in opponents. The lower valued price means that he would have freedom to play as he doesn't have as much to lose as others, but players who are taken to the next level in their transfer fee seem to be placed at some esoteric high ground in which they are expected to perform to maximum level, and this extreme pressure from fan to play well usually becomes too much for the player, so they aren't able to meet the true extent of playing capability and so careers which could have been so good are destroyed. Take, for example, Philippe Coutinho. After the famed huge sum transfer, was he able to play well? Absolutely not. Crushing football players also thus becomes a part of this, and this slowly destroys talent and removes the game's true essence, making it out of control, and in turn, disappointing fans.
