Look, when people say esports isn't a sport because there's no running or jumping, they're missing the point entirely. Chess is considered a sport by the International Olympic Committee. So is darts. So is shooting. None of those require you to break a sweat.
Esports demands hand-eye coordination that's frankly insane. Pro gamers practice 8-12 hours a day, develop repetitive strain injuries, and compete under intense pressure with split-second decisions. The mental stamina alone is exhausting. Tournaments fill stadiums, prize pools hit millions, and players have coaches, trainers, and nutritionists just like traditional athletes.
We're not saying it's the same as football. But if we're calling poker a sport, how can we exclude competitive gaming? It's time to update what "sport" means.
