I think the other side gets it wrong by treating college sports like a job. To me, it is more like a chance to play and learn, and paying everyone just feels off. I am not sure how to explain it better.
no it could be a high paying job if youre dedicated enough and have some what of a talent in it cause you can go out and work as a coach for example to teach younger generation on how to do sports
Look at a lot of smaller colleges where athletes already get scholarships and a free degree. That chance seems like payment enough. My opponent asks how to do paying, and honestly that sounds messy and unfair to me, but I get their point.
honestly doing sports as like a dedicated career is pretty good cuz like you could have scholarships and stuff like that to do more sports at another different school or something that still sounds like they actually gets paid yk cuz theyre paid to do sports in the school and have the chance to do more sports when graduated
Isn't the scholarship and chance to play already the reward? My opponent makes a fair point about coaching and talent, and I am not sure how to argue back. Still, paying athletes just feels like it would ruin what college sports are about.
