yes because the university is also benefittin from his earnings from playing games and going to competitions so its only fair that they also compensate athlete aslo understand that the athleste is not only a studemt but a person a person that needs food water shelter hygien healthcare and so forth so how is fair that the athlete plays the games he trains and everthing but yet cannot aford these basic nesscaties the university must compensate him'

that is a very good point but we dont say that all athletes must be paid but the ones withe the greatest skill and that are generating some revenue witg their skills should be compensated for and also at the same time payi g athletes is only costly and messy if they do offer any benefits to the university

so what you are justifying is that it is okay for athletes to worked ot and used by univesities for competitions , train tirelssey , have injuries and go through everthing that most paid athletes go through for free while not even being able to afford basic nesscaties . understand that some scholarships arent fully paid they dont cover these and dont give money to students monthy then what happens to the students . the flaw with your argumenyt is that that it has no future if we lived in a world with yor policy we would havew university sports depatments with a lack of athletes because who in their right minds can run on a field while their huingry while tey lack soap while they so sick they cant even stand because they can afford a hospital theyed rather get aan after school job or something
