The practical consequence of banning abortion is that more people end up forced to carry pregnancies they did not plan for, and some will try unsafe ways instead. I think letting each person decide with a doctor is just more workable. That is my gut feeling, though I am not great at arguing.

Okay I hear you. I used to think the same way. However. I believe if you are attempting to kill another human being. You deserve to get what you're giving. I dont fully agree with the death penalty. However its basically free death penalty and krama. The judge doesn't have to find them guilty of murder. Because the death speaks for itself

Imagine someone pregnant from assault or with a dangerous pregnancy, stuck and scared, trying to find care. My opponent makes a fair point about a life being involved, and I am not sure how to argue back. I still feel the person closest to it should decide.
