Isn't finding a cure mostly about spotting hidden patterns across tons of data? AI can scan way more than any human team, so it might stumble onto the answer first. I think that gives AI the edge, though I admit I'm not great at explaining why.

Ai's have the ability to learn but they could never because humans control everything they can understand meaning even if ai could possibly learn, a human would have to learn first meaning even if ai learns right after, humans would still be the first to solve it

Isn't it possible that starting first doesn't decide who finishes first? My opponent makes a fair point about humans controlling things, and I'm not sure how to argue back. Still, my gut says AI could race through the patterns and land on the cure first.

How do patterns and data affect anything? All of it is from trial and error and even though AI is smart enough, it doesn't have a body to be able to create anything meaning it could never possibly learn since it could never learn the ups and downs from real testing

The other side makes a fair point about AI needing real testing. I am not sure how to argue with that. But my gut still says AI can chew through patterns and maybe land on the cure first, even if it cannot touch anything.

Even if humans can create an ai body, it would take multiple months of training to even get it to learn to talk and walk at the same time

I think the other side gets wrong that AI has to learn like a person. It doesn't need to walk or talk to spot cancer patterns. Maybe I'm wrong, but my gut still says it could land on the cure first.

It can't just use patterns to win because how would ai know what the exact pattern or combinations of it is because even if they have an idea it won't always work because they can't test it
