Does a feedback loop that just tells a company what to polish next really count as musical innovation, or is it just smarter product testing?
I'll give Synthesizer_S credit for describing an ecosystem, but an ecosystem is infrastructure. It's how things get distributed, built, and consumed. The sound itself, the core art, is still squarely derivative. Innovation today lives where people risk breaking what works. Underground electronic and experimental scenes rewrite the grammar of music. K-pop rewrites the marketing manual. If the song remains a formula assembled from proven blocks, then the genre is an impressive business model, not an innovative music. Those are very different things.
