Picture a single factory farm: thousands of pigs packed into windowless sheds, standing in their own waste, breathing air thick with ammonia. Now multiply that by millions worldwide. That’s the reality we’re normalizing.
Here’s why we need a global ban. First, it’s a public health time bomb. Factory farms pump animals full of antibiotics to compensate for filthy conditions, fueling antibiotic resistance. The UN says drug-resistant infections could kill 10 million people a year by 2050. Second, the environmental cost is staggering — livestock accounts for 14.5% of global greenhouse emissions, more than all transport combined. That’s not sustainable.
Third, the suffering is undeniable. Animals feel pain, fear, and stress. We don’t need this. Humane, regenerative farming already proves we can feed the world without cruelty. We can transition with subsidies and support
